Characters
Due to the format of my trailer showing each character's daily issues through their eyes, the identities are not revealed until the viewer tunes into the programme to find out for themselves. Therefore, the trailer will be full of extras acting as friends and family members that are not significant characters but just involved background characters.
In terms of extras I will need characters that fit around my characters including friends and family. This means as my characters will each be of the age 16-18 I will need their friends to be of this age so it is believable in the trailer and so that the audience can get an image in their head of the character without seeing them.
Here are some photos of typical actors/actresses I will be using as friends of my characters.
Character One
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Summary of character: With relationship problems in her love life the character is a strong character within her family and friends, however the relationship with her and her boyfriend seems fine in front of her friends but is rocky and lonely when away from school. From my trailer I can show her loneliness from the way her boyfriend ignores her and pays no attention to her, I can use the use of text messages and social networking to show the distance in their relationship. This can be related to by young girls in relationships that may have the same problems and young boys that act like the boyfriend of the character.
Character Two
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Summary of character: With issues at home of abuse where her parents don't respect her, her character is shy and reserved at school which reflects her bad relationships with her family at home. Her family have big ambitions for their daughter but because of her struggles at school and not being the brightest it leads to abuse where the expectations of her family are let down.
Character Two
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Summary of character: Following his music tastes and how he wishes to be, his reputation is at a low being an outcast at school, bullied for being the different one and standing out from the crowd. Although he wants to be who he is, his family try and change him from encouraging him away from himself however he pushes against it although it beats him up inside from the bullying and lack of support. A young audience could relate to this as the majority of schools bullying occurs, maybe not to everyone but most people have witnessed it. Genres are common in teenage generations where different groups of people act in different ways depending on their music tastes or backgrounds so this will should be easy to portray in my trailer.
