Risk Assessment

When filming any production a Risk Assessment must be carried out in order to assess the possible risks of my plans. The risks must also be identified to the performer so that they understand the risks of their work. I also need to decide on the ways I can prevent the risks so that risks of injury is at the lowest level possible.

Hazard & Number of People Exposed

Falling Objects

Smoking on set

Vehicles/Motorcycles/Speed

Main Risks Identified

There is a Low risk of falling objects as I am planning to film in a school and at different houses.

Due to filming in different places there is a Low possibility that people will be smoking on set which actors may not be happy with.

With transferring from different locations I will be driving my actors/actresses between locations which will create a medium risk of other vehicles and motorcycles.

 Controls to Minimise Risk

Before filming an assessment of the area should be made to ensure that there are no unstable objects high up.

To ensure that people are ok with this low risk of passive smoking I will make sure anyone assisting with filming will not be smoking so that the risk is minimal.

To minimise my risk of other vehicles I will try and keep locations close together so that driving between locations is minimal.
