My 'Beaumont Park' Website
For part of my auxillery texts I chose to create a website for my new soap opera in which I can use to give out more information to the viewer about the soap and the characters featured within it.

Above is a brief print screen of the Beaumont Park homepage, on the homepage I included the programme banner as a heading of all of the pages, the promotional trailer so the audience can watch the trailer anytime they would like as well as buttons to link the website to facebook and twitter to keep the programme as widely advertised as possible. Also to emphasis the channel to watch the new teen soap on, I have added a large E4 logo next to the trailer with the line 'Take a peak at the brand new teen soap to E4' this way the writing is backed up by the logo which is a recognisable image.
I feel my design of the website mates well in all aspects of background and font to the banner at the top of the page.
Above is a 'Meet the Characters' page where I have included photos, introductions of the characters and the actors so that the audience can get to know their on screen characters. This style of page is featured on all soap websites I have viewed so that the viewer can find out more information if they would like to. As the programme is a new feature I have used the descriptions as an introduction to the character but as the soap progresses these can be edited and updated to the new features of the characters.
Above is my 'Issues' page where I have addressed the dramatic issues that occur in the soap. This will be helpful to young viewers that may not understand the concept of what is going on on screen and would like some extra information and guidance. By doing this I am taking responsibility of the roles that soaps play as a controversial programme focusing on everday dramas that could affect anyone. I have also included links that connect the user to a website that can help with the issue being addressed.
Above is a Frequently Asked Questions or a FAQs page with general questions that viewers or fans would like to know about the programme. I found this page on a lot of popular soap websites and thought it would fit well with my website as lots of questions could be asked when dealing with a brand new soap.
